House of Kali · Tallowood, Mullumbimby
For a nervous system that hasn't switched off in a while.
Breath, movement and deep rest, in a small garden temple. Nothing is rushed and nothing is forced — we settle the system first, and let the rest follow.
What a reset actually means
Most of us are running on a system that never got to finish the stress cycle.
Wired but tired. Sleeping badly. Stiff, foggy, short-fused, or quietly flat. It isn't a discipline problem — it's a nervous system that's learned to stay switched on. This practice is about teaching it how to come down again.
Regulation before anything else
Nothing gets activated before it's been settled. Breath and grounding come first every time, so the practice calms you rather than winding you up further.
Nine mats, unhurried
An open-air garden temple, kept deliberately small. Enough time and attention that you're not just another body in a full studio.
Tools that work off the mat
Breathing you can use in the car park, in a meeting, at 3am. The point isn't a good hour — it's a system that recovers more easily on its own.
An open-air garden temple, nine mats, and enough quiet to hear yourself think.
Weekly timetable
Four sessions a week.
All props and mats provided. Bring water and loose, comfortable clothing. Booking online is essential — the gate stays locked otherwise.

Kriya Journey
The long-form practice. Kriya yoga, somatic release and in-depth breathwork in the undercover garden temple. Nine places only, first booked first in.
$259 places
Parking near Tallowood estate park or the tennis courts. You don't need to be flexible and you don't need experience — the focus is energy expansion first, and the rest follows without force.
The seven pillars
There's an order to it.
Kriya means intentional action. The pillars run in sequence — each one prepares the system for the next, which is why the settling always comes before anything more demanding.
Breath
Classical pranayama with modern breath science. Calms the nervous system, clears mental fog, restores capacity.
Kriya
Purposeful, repeatable practices that create real change. Vedic discipline that becomes freedom.
Movement
Kundalini, hatha and vinyasa blends. Classically sequenced asana for strength, mobility and grounded presence.
Somatic release
Therapeutic trembling and somatic shaking to safely discharge stored tension. Insight alone doesn't undo what the body remembers.
Energy
Charging the energy channels correctly. Mudras, bandhas and energetic literacy, applied responsibly.
Sound
Free the voice. Sacred mantra to focus the mind and reset the body's systems. Vibration as a practical tool.
Meditation
Train attention, build clarity, cultivate capacity. Backed by yogic lineage and by neuroscience.
The five aspects
Recalibrate. Don't negotiate.
The name is the method. Each letter is one of the things the practice is actually for.
Create capacity
Karma means action and consequence, not fate. Change what you do and what surrounds you, and you build capacity you didn't have before — internally and in the environment you live in.
Regulate, reset, recalibrate
Finding steady ground before anything is asked of you. This is the part most practices skip, and the reason people leave a class feeling wired rather than settled.
Information becomes pattern
Knowing something doesn't change it. Repetition does. Integration is the unglamorous middle bit where a good session slowly turns into a different default.
Union
Yoga translates as union. Body, breath and mind working as one thing rather than three — and you as part of the natural world rather than separate from it.
Values matched to actions
Most of the friction people carry comes from the gap between what they believe and how they actually live. Closing that gap does more for a nervous system than any technique.
Ways to work together
Start where you are.
Most people begin in a weekly class and leave it there, which is completely fine. If you want to go further, the 1:1 reset is the deeper version of the same work.
Weekly classes
Drop in for $25, or $22 for your first visit. Five-class pass $110. Bring a friend who hasn't been and you both come for $22 — and every fifth session is $22.

About
Kali Jade Farrell
Kali teaches breath and movement practice from the classical yoga and Vedanta tradition, adapted for the nervous systems people actually walk in with.
She built the Kriya Method the slow way. The standard qualification to teach yoga is 200 hours. Kali holds 700, registered with Yoga Australia — plus years of further study across yoga and Ayurveda, including repeated trips to India to learn at the source rather than second-hand. It's shaped by lived experience as much as training, including raising a neurodiverse child and years of support work.
Grounded, direct, and not particularly interested in performance. She won't chase big emotional releases, won't tell you you're broken, and won't ask you to be flexible. She'll teach you a practice and get out of the way of it.

Questions people actually ask.
Do I need to be flexible or have done yoga before?
What's the difference between this and a normal yoga class?
Is this therapy? Will I be asked to talk about things?
Sometimes emotion comes up in these practices. What happens then?
Where exactly is it, and where do I park?
What should I bring?
I can't afford it right now.
Come as you are. Mats, props and everything else are already here.
